The Callaway Big Bertha Diablo Driver has been designed to bring power and distance to your drives. The all titanium clubhead delivers the power you need to out drive your playing partners but the Diablo combines sheer brute force with one of the most generous sweet spots in a Big Bertha driver. Using Callaway’s new Edge technology the club delivers a high MOI and the CG is located especially to suit the Draw or Neutral models to produce long, penetrating flight with the shot shape you require. Edge technology gives the Diablo a unique shaping that has let the designers move the weight across the clubhead and helps close the clubface at impact to help encourage ever more powerful impact. The Diablo features Hyperbolic Face Technology to put it at the forefront of clubface design with mathematics and engineering combining to deliver the highest ever Big Bertha ball speeds across the entire face. The Callaway Big Bertha Diablo Driver also features S2H2 Design which removes discretionary weight from the hosel and adding stability by redistributing that weight in the perimeter of the clubhead.
The Callaway Big Bertha Diablo's titanium clubhead features Callaway’s new Edge Technology which allows the centre of gravity to be ideally placed in the clubhead. The unique shape of the head helps the clubface to close at impact to deliver more power on every drive. The use of Hyperbolic Face Technology on the inside of the face helps the club deliver the highest ball speeds of any Big Bertha driver across the entire clubface. Stability and an optimum distribution of weight are delivered by the usual Callaway S2H2 short, straight, hollow hosel to remove weight from that area of the club.
The Diablo driver certainly looks striking and Callaway have delivered on their promise of a club with an ultra modern feel. At address the head shape may appeal to some more than others, but we really liked it. Now looks aren’t everything but the good news is that the Diablo driver performs well on the golf course as well. We found that the club scored very highly for both distance and accuracy while the generous and forgiving clubhead responds well to any off centre hits without big losses in length or accuracy.
The Diablo driver is available in neutral and draw versions with lofts ranging from 8 degrees to 13 degrees. There is also a Tour version which comes with a full length hosel placed closer to the face that is also 1 and a half degrees open to enable you to shape the ball more easily.
